Electrical Engineering Research and Design
The Laboratory for Engineering Man/Machine System (LEMS) is a 3200 square foot facility used by graduate and undergraduate students.
The Center and its affiliated faculty have roughly 6000 square feet of laboratory space on campus devoted to teaching and research in biomedical engineering. Additional laboratory space exists in local teaching hospital where some of the research faculty conduct their activities.
On campus facilities include:
- a complete walk in machine shop
- full autoclave and sterile-procedure tissue culture facilities
- complete surface characterization facilities including FTIR and UV
- access to SEM and TEM
- facilities for protein fractionation by chromatographic and membrane processes
- computational and data reduction
