Donald Stanford
Donald Stanford is currently an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Brown. He retired in 2001 as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of GTECH Holdings Corp. after 23 years of service. GTECH is the leading supplier of computerized transaction processing systems and services to the global lottery industry. Donald is also President of the Board for Times2 Academy, a K-12 charter school serving the children and families of Providence, R.I. He serves on the R.I. Governor’s Science and Technology Assessment Committee and is Chairman of the R.I. Business Innovation Factory. Donald is an ACCess volunteer, and is a member of the Advisory Council on Engineering and President Simmon’s Advisory Council. He received the Brown Graduate School’s Distinguished Graduate award in 2002 and has been an Alumni Marshall.
Donald and his wife Jane, reside in Pawtucket, R.I. and St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and have two daughters, Amanda and Julia.
