Preliminary
design:
Each
group must submit a set of preliminary design
drawings and supporting calculations to

Gesualdi on the 7th north floor of Barus Holley,
by 5 pm

NOT NECESSARY - BRING FINAL DESIGNS TO DESIGN CONTEST
Each group
must submit a set of final design drawings and supporting calculations to

Monday, April
28.
Manufacturing:
Sign up for Manufacturing time slots by April 18.
Dates: April 21, 2008 - May
2, 2008.
The thrower must be
manufactured during the two week period; every student
must spend at least two (half) days, from 12pm to 4pm, per week for
manufacturing. Students must get four signatures
on the TA's signature sheet (to be
provided) for the
reserved days of manufacturing the thrower, and attach it to the final design
drawing to be submitted to the final contest.
Ten groups may do the manufacturing on any day from
12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A target will be available for practice test after 4:00 pm
until 5:00 pm on the reserved days.
Location: Prince Lab
Contest:
Sign up: Each group must fill sign up for the
Project Contest time slot on the sheet posted outside of Rm. 096 (Giancarlo Lab
- site of EN 4 labs) April 28, 2008.
Each group
needs to provide a team name and names of each member.
Dates:
The design contest will take place, for two teams
in parallel, in Prince Lab on Monday, May 5, from
8:30am-4:30
pm. Each design team
must sign up for 1/2 hour time slots throughout the day (10 min presentation and
15 min throwing contest).
