1.     Navigating the Web.

 

Please find and submit via e-mail, with the info in #3 below,

the following info gleaned from the EN 4 Web site, which is located at

a.      Professor Curtin’s middle initial, and a guess as to what it stands for (polite responses only).

b.     Scheduled activity for “Leap Day” – Feb. 29

c.     Title of the first lab.

d.     How to contest a grade

e.      Fraction of the total course grade for the second midterm

f.       Some of the goals of the course, in your own words but gleaned from the stated goals

 

2.     Please review your statics work on free body diagrams and friction. 

 

3.     Using the e-mail option shown on the web site, send me (Curtin) an e-mail (I know I am asking for trouble) telling me briefly:

a.      Your previous physics background (none, high school physics, honors physics, AP Physics AB, or BC)

b.     What you hope to get out of EN 4, aside from an A.

c.     What else you are doing at Brown aside from academics.

d.     Where you are from.  (This might help me remember people by forming convenient mnemonics like Bob from Buffalo and Penelope from Pittsburgh).
