5/3/08: FINAL EXAM: Wed. 9am, BH 166 (we will need to use other rooms as well,
but they are not yet assigned). You may use lecture notes (your own
and those on the web), your own homeworks and the posted HW solutions. No
other photocopied, printed, or downloaded sources are permitted.
4/29/08: There will be no Office Hours on Monday, due to the Design Contest.
Extra office hours on Tuesday are as follows: Prof. McCarthy
10:30am-12:00pm; Prof. Curtin 1:00pm-3:00pm; Prof. Shenoy 3:00pm-5:00pm.
4/29/08: NO LECTURE ON THURSDAY. There is RECITATION on Wednesday.
TUESDAY's class will be an overall review of the course by Prof. Curtin.
4/28/08: FINAL DESIGNS are NOT due today. Just bring them to the Contest.
We had hoped to encourage early completion of the overall design with final
construction but understand that many groups are still in the middle of building
and thus tweaking the design.
4/25/08: Solutions to the 2nd Midterm are now posted - see "Exams".

grade distribution is posted here:
Distribution . Mean
score = 71.5, Std. Dev. = 17. Obviously, the grades were very
widely distributed. Rough cuts at letter grades are: A=81 or above, C=59
or below. As stated before, final grades will be determined by the overall
standing with respect to the mean grade and standard deviation, so the letter
grades stated above mean nothing.
4/24/08: HW 13 has been posted early
in case you want to try it this weekend. HW 12 is due Tuesday 29th
April in class. HW 13 is due Friday 2nd May by 12:00 noon. Hand in
to Stephanie Gesualdi on Floor 7, B&H.
