Announcements

 | 12/1/03: No class today. Wednesday, 12/3, we will meet from
10:30-whenever for the project talks and pizza. On Wednesday, please turn
your HTML reports (on disk or by email). You can use your same slides
prepared for your talk if you'd like, but be sure they are sufficiently
detailed so that someone who missed your talk could know what you
did.
The 30-minute oral exams will be given next week in my office. Email
to arrange a time. The exam will be in the style of a prelim. You won't have
to have memorized facts such as the particular form of the elastic potential
neoprene, but should understand the theoretical background and be able
to set up, (if not solve) boundary value problems. |
 | 10/29/03: Index notation notes are available on the notes page.
|
 | 9/30/03: There was some ambiguity on the due date for homework set
2. It will be due on October 8th. Thanks for coming to class at 10 today!
See you at the regular time on Wednesday. If you liked starting early (and
ending early), we can continue on that schedule. We can discuss it on
Wednesday.
|
 | 9/17/03: Problem set 1 is due today. You need not hand in problem 3
today. I will do some of it in class. Problem set 2 has been posted and is
due 2 weeks from today (October 8.) Don't leave it until October 7th!
|
 | 9/10/03: There are job openings at
Intel in Arizona. Even if your completion date is not near, these jobs
are worth looking into. Please pass this information on to others who might
be interested.
