EXCEL TUTORIALS
Most of you have used Excel
in EN3 or your other courses. In this case you
need no further introduction. If you haven't used a spreadsheet, or are unfamiliar
with EXCEL, there are several good tutorials available online, including

We will make extensive use of the
EXCEL solver feature. If installed, the Solver
is available as an option under the Tools menu.
If you do not see Solver on your
Tools menu, you have to install it. To do so, find the Add Ins... option on the
Tools menu and select it. Then scroll down the list of add ins until you find the
Solver Add-In and check the box as shown below. Then hit OK. If you are
asked whether you want to install the add-in, reply Yes....
You don't have to install other Add-Ins, just the solver.

If the installation
is successful, you will find that Solver... has been added to your Tools.... menu.
If you want a solver button to appear on your
tool bar, follow these instructions (provided by Erin Carey)
1. Right click on the toolbar and go down to customize
2. Select Built-in Menus on the left hand side
3. After you select that on the left, you should be able to select
an object from the right...drag Tools up to the toolbar
4. Hit the down arrow next to tools on the toolbar...you should be
able to then select solver. Drag it up to the tool bar, press ctrl,
and then drop it on the toolbar.
5. You can then get rid of the Tool drop down by dragging and
dropping it in another part on the sheet (it should go away)
