Wednesday's exam will be given in room 158. You can use your own lecture
notes and homework.No printed, or xeroxed material will be allowed.

3/14/05: There is a typo on problem 1g of Homework
#5: The problem should read:
"Calculate the minimum weight Ww (not Wc) which will ensure that the wave speed
c is greater than the top speed of the Acela, 150 mph."
in other words, find the counterweight needed to make sure the wavespeed of the
cable is large enough. (the cable weight Wc is set by the span)

March 23. The exam will deal with class material covered in Problem Sets 1- 5.
