Visitor Lodging

1)  For short term visitors (<2 weeks), staying at a hotel near campus may be the best choice. Here are some nice options.

1a)  the most convenient choice is Brown University Inn. This is right on campus with walking distance to all departments/offices at a reasonable price.

1b)  there are several nearby hotels that the visitors can take a shuttle bus or taxi to campus.

2)  For mid to long term (2 weeks up to a year), Brown has houses used for Visiting Scholars. Here is a website which also includes virtual tours.

3)  For even longer term visitors, it is better to try to rent apartments in the community near campus. Here are some sites which may be useful.
